The deodorant is super easy to apply and smells amazing! From my experience, it works really well as it definitely lasts at least 24 hours. It feels great that it’s all-natural and sustainable. Would recommend trying this out at least once (also a great gift!)

For the workshop, it was interesting to learn about deodorants as it’s something that people don’t usually have conversations about. I loved how we were able to bring home what we made and it’s such a useful product to have!

For a very long time I’ve always been finding and trying out natural deodorants, I’m glad to have found Smood! It’s environmentally friendly and not harmful to our body, what more can I ask for!

For the deodorant making workshop, it was really simple and fun, with the host being very friendly and helpful at all times!

Thanks for having us! It was quite fun. Good to educate ourselves about sustainable products.

  5. Faith

Ever since I saw this workshop on their IG page, i’ve been wanting to join for the longest time.
She was very patient with teaching and explained in detail about the ingredients and their pros n cons. Value for money too as i got like 12 bars LOL.

Location may be a little secluded but they are a small business so its important to support such initiatives that are important as well!

We had a really fun and enlightening afternoon getting our hands busy at the DIY deodorant bar making workshop! (On a bit of a tangent, the natural light flooding in through the large windows also instinctively puts one at peace when in this space.)

Apart from the joy of having a very hands on experience, what makes the workshop so enjoyable too is how Jo very methodically brings you through how “off the shelf” deodorants are manufactured, and why these deodorant bars you’ll get to make are in superior on many levels – not just for the environment but your body too.

Best of all, you’ll get to mix in scented oils of your own choice right at the end, so the bars will definitely smell amazing to you! A variety of moulds and sizes are available too so you end up with a product that makes sense to your lifestyle 😊

We really appreciate and are inspired by the conviction with which Jo not only leads the workshop but runs The Sustainability Project too (:

There’s still much for us to learn, but this was a great (and very fun) first step towards being more mindful consumers in a world today which has normalised excessive waste and environmental harm. In all, this is a workshop that adults and children alike will thoroughly enjoy (I’ve already recommended it to a friend to bring her kids out for a weekend)!
